Relaxday

Today was a busy day with various things I did: I washed the car, because of the southern wind yesterday it was all dusty. But the wind turned. So it was not windy with all the sand, but it was some degrees lower than yesterday. It was still pleasant, I still could wash the car in my shorts. Then I went with Kostas around town for some little things that had to be done for his cafe/restaurant. We went on his moped which is different than in the Netherlands because the moped here are around 250cc and go way faster, at least his moped. We went past the insurance company and his accountant, which is different than back home, I guess people in southern countries are more open to each other instead of being business related they almost seem to be friends. Then we went to the cafe/restaurant of Kostas cousin, which is one of the most succesful in Hersonissos. We had an ice coffee and the most remarkable was that everybody knows everybody and everybody starts a conversation with everybody, that is very different than in NL. After the coffee we went home. At home I worked on my text about Zorbas Island, which is almost finished. I worked on it until Chrisa 'the Greek child' came home who had a very stressfull day, because she had her first final exams of the year. Luckily soon the Easter holidays will start, so that the rest of the exams can be prepared. That is right they did have not had Easter yet. This is for the reason that Greek Orthodox, which is the main religion in Greece, does not follow the same calendar. Every 4 years they fall together, but in this year Easter falls on the first of May. So after Chrisa came home we first sat down and had a good laugh together and relaxed.
